This project, situated in Tokyo Tachikawa, is the fuji Kindergarten. In this clearly child-centered project, designed by Tezuka Architects, they created a kindergarten where children are free to learn and play. They designed the kindergarten shaped like a halo with no inner walls and a roof, which was accessible for the children to walk on. The main concept behind this project was to create a place where children could move around freely. The architects understood that children were in need of a space where they can go on adventures and self-educate through trial and error. Today the kindergarten is known for it's walkable roof and free education system.
